Last reviewed: 11 September 2026 Reading time 7 min read

Plan room selection, medication, Haram transport and hotel arrival around comfort and mobility needs.

Start with health and mobility needs

Speak to a doctor before travel when a chronic condition or limited mobility needs planning. Carry enough medication, a prescription or medical summary and generic medicine names. Check current Saudi Ministry of Health advice because requirements can vary by date and country of origin.

This guide supports planning and does not replace medical advice or official instructions.

  • Keep essential medicine in hand luggage.
  • Carry an emergency contact.
  • Travel with support when walking or memory needs assistance.

Choose the room by function

Ask about distance from the lift and bathroom features before confirming availability. Connecting double and triple rooms exist but must be requested and confirmed; family and quadruple rooms are not connecting.

Extra beds are not available, so confirm the guest count and bed layout in writing.

Use the Haram shuttle with a flexible plan

During congestion, the hotel bus leaves B2 around 30 minutes before prayer and uses the area behind Swiss Hotel near the Clock Towers for drop-off and return. Operations may change with crowd and traffic controls.

Confirm the live time and return point with reception, leave early and agree on a group meeting point. Do not wait for one specific hotel bus on return.

  • Save the hotel name and reception number.
  • Use comfortable footwear and mobility aids if needed.
  • Avoid tight timing around prayers and peak periods.

Arrival and assistance

Check-in is 2:00 pm and check-out is 12:00 noon. Ask in advance if early access is needed; it is subject to availability.

A general doctor can be requested around the clock for simple cases and first aid. An ambulance is requested when a case is beyond that support. For urgent symptoms, use emergency services without waiting for hotel assistance.
